Calories In A Cup Of Joe
Black, cream and sugar, these are the usual options for coffee a few years back. It has evolved thru the years since then. Now, you can get an espresso, flavored, blended, frozen and ice with a wide range of syrups, lighteners and sweeteners. With all these on a cup of your favorite joe, you are left wondering, how many calories is in my cup?
In all actuality, coffee on its own has almost no calories. Starbucks brewed coffee has only 5 calories for the Grande size (16oz) and contains 1 gram of protein. That should be a relief to know for those who drink plain brewed coffee. But hey, I like mine with sugar and cream. So that would be 1 ounce cream and 2 packets of sugar, amounting to about 60-80 calories more. But if you are into blended coffee, then you are in for a shock. Calorie meter goes up to about 500-700 for those types of coffee.
Below is some of the well-loved cup of coffee we ordered from our favorite coffee houses.
Brewed Coffee – Almost all of the studies showing benefits of coffee to a person, is done with regular brewed coffee. Add that information to the fact that it only have 2 calories for an 8oz cup.
